”As lifelong Clarets supporters, and students of football history, it was our intention was to produce a complete who's who of Burnley Football Club, going right back to when the club was founded in 1882. It was to be the first work ever to feature, in detail, every single player and manager to represent the club competitively since the dawn of professionalism and to reflect its status as one of the original twelve members of the Football League in 1888.

We are both proud of our long-standing links with Burnley FC and of the club's prominent position at the heart of the community.
